Networking is one of the most powerful ways businesses grow, and at the Roanoke Regional Chamber, creating meaningful connections across Virginia’s Blue Ridge is at the core of what we do. The Chamber serves as a hub where professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders come together to build relationships that lead to collaboration, opportunity, and long-term regional growth.

With members representing a wide range of industries and communities, the Chamber creates spaces where conversations turn into partnerships and introductions turn into new business opportunities. These connections extend across Roanoke City, Roanoke County, the City of Salem, the Town of Vinton, the Town of Rocky Mount, Franklin County, and Botetourt County, reinforcing the Chamber’s regional approach to strengthening the business community.

In 2026, the Chamber expanded and enhanced its networking opportunities by launching new programming and revamping several of its signature initiatives to better serve the evolving needs of the regional business community.

One of the newest additions is Good Morning VBR, a rotating regional breakfast series designed to bring together business leaders from across the localities the Chamber serves. These morning gatherings provide timely updates from local leaders while giving attendees the opportunity to start their day by connecting with professionals from across the region. By rotating locations throughout Virginia’s Blue Ridge, Good Morning VBR reinforces the Chamber’s commitment to regional collaboration.

Another key addition is the revamped VBR Series, a collection of informative programs designed to give the business community insight into important issues shaping our region. These events bring together regional leaders and industry experts to share updates, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for the future. Programs within the VBR Series include State of Healthcare, State of CTE, State of the City, and State of the County, each offering valuable perspectives on the sectors and systems that drive our regional economy.

The Chamber has also introduced the Women of the Chamber Mini Workshop Series, a multi-session program designed to bring women together for deeper learning, leadership development, and meaningful conversation. Each session builds on the last, creating an environment where participants can develop new skills, share experiences, and expand their professional networks with other women from across the region. This programming complements the Chamber’s broader Women of the Chamber initiatives, including the ConnectHER Conference and the prestigious ATHENA Awards, which celebrate and support women’s leadership throughout Virginia’s Blue Ridge.

Another new initiative is the Member Masterclass Series, which offers Chamber members the opportunity to learn directly from subject matter experts within the business community. These sessions provide practical knowledge and strategies that attendees can apply in their organizations while also creating opportunities to connect with other professionals facing similar challenges and opportunities.

Of course, these programs complement the Chamber’s long-standing networking opportunities, including events like Off the Clock, ribbon cuttings, and signature Chamber gatherings that bring members together throughout the year. Whether someone is new to the region, launching a business, or looking to expand their professional network, the Chamber provides a welcoming environment where connections happen naturally.

At its core, the Roanoke Regional Chamber’s networking efforts are about more than exchanging business cards. They are about building relationships that strengthen businesses and the entire regional economy. By bringing together professionals from different industries, communities, and backgrounds, the Chamber helps create a stronger, more connected Virginia’s Blue Ridge.

When businesses connect, ideas grow. When professionals collaborate, communities thrive. And when the region comes together, everyone benefits.
